This Friday, Sept. 28 is the last day to register to be a part of our Colorblind taping! The event is first come, first serve.
Register now (http://www.wycc.org/events/colorblind.html) to attend WYCC’s panel discussion on race relations in America, hosted by WGN-TV’s Robert Jordan at the Kennedy-King College Main Theater (in the U Building) on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at 2 p.m. CST. You’ll be the first to see clips from our new documentary, Colorblind: ReThinking Race.
Produced in partnership with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and Middle Passage Productions, WYCC PBS Chicago’s Colorblind: ReThinking Race takes an honest look at the effects of racism in America. The goal of the documentary is to bring clarity to the topic by presenting the modern expression of racism, exploring how these negative beliefs are unwittingly fostered, and recognizing the people and projects that address racial inequality and promote racial healing.
Colorblind: ReThinking Race premieres on Sunday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m., followed by Colorblind: ReThinking Race: The Town Hall Meeting at 8:30 p.m. The question YOU ask at the taping could make it on the air!
